Client Spotlight: DIVAS for Social Justice

DIVAS for Social Justice is a justice and healing-centered organization that empowers youth in historically underserved communities to explore technology and visual storytelling as tools for activism and community change. With deep roots in New York City, DIVAS has now expanded to South Minneapolis, bringing their participatory, youth-driven model to a new community.

As they launched this new chapter, Collectivity partnered with DIVAS to support community-centered planning. Together, we hosted a series of listening sessions with artists, organizers, educators, and neighbors to explore what a justice-centered maker space could look and feel like in Minneapolis. These conversations helped shape a locally grounded vision for programming, space design, and partnership.

DIVAS' approach is rooted in narrative power, creative freedom, and collective healing. We’re honored to walk alongside them as they deepen their work in the Twin Cities and continue to center those most impacted by systemic exclusion in tech and media spaces.
