IMPACT REPORT
2025
Developed by the Collectivity Team
Letter from the Collectivity Team
We pause to acknowledge the realities of this moment; not as a formality, but as a commitment to truth. This is not business as usual.
The current federal administration continues to dismantle long-standing institutions while expanding systems of surveillance, detention, and punishment that cause real harm in our communities.
We are living in a time of deep political division, ongoing struggles for justice, and systemic inequities that shape daily life; conditions that drove our decision to apply the Protect Resist Build Framework as a theme throughout the year.
We acknowledge that this weight is not evenly distributed. Some carry more risk, more harm, more grief, and more exhaustion: particularly immigrants, Black and Brown communities, and those already targeted by systems of control.
And yet, even amid fear, grief, and uncertainty, our community is continuing to resist tyranny, protect one another, build new solutions, and bridge divides.
Mutual aid networks have grown, movements for justice persist, voices are rising, and many refuse to be silenced. While hope may feel harder to access right now, we are reminded that it lives in community, showing up for one another, in choosing care over isolation, and in leaning into what it means to belong to each other.
Let this message serve as a reminder that we are accountable to one another, that neutrality in the face of harm is not an option, and that how we respond, with our attention, empathy, and time, matters deeply.
Sincerely,
The Collectivity Team
What Defines Collectivity?
Identity statements help an organization clearly articulate who it is, what it stands for, and how it shows up in the community. The statement creates a shared language that aligns staff, leadership, and other key players around purpose and scope, strengthening internal cohesion. Externally, identity statements provide consistency across messaging, decision-making, and partnerships, making the organization more recognizable and credible. In 2025, Collectivity solidified our identity as a team.
We Approach Organizations Like Organisms
Unique, Evolving, & Alive
Rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach, we pay attention to how an organization actually functions; what’s thriving, what’s strained, and what conditions are needed for healthy growth and sustainable change.
Collectivity’s Core Values
Our values ground us in how we work and how we show up for one another. This year, we added a fourth core value to better reflect who we are and how we practice our work in a changing world.
Below, we highlight each core value and share a brief story from the past year that brings it to life.
CARE

Collectivity’s Approach
Impact Philosophy
We believe that meaningful change comes from collective action.
Effective organizations that work together will influence and create changes at a systems level, which will drive changes at a population level. Our goal is to help create conditions for systems change to occur. This is our Theory of Change.
We not only create direct impact through increasing organizational capacities, we also foster collective impact through facilitating partnerships and information-sharing across organizations.
Impact Measurement
Effective organizations working in tandem can bring about systemic changes that resonate at the population level.
At Collectivity, our aim is to foster the conditions conducive to such transformative shifts. We utilize our own framework, combining direct, indirect, and collective (DIC) impact to assess the impact of our activities. The following sections will provide an in-depth exploration of Collectivity’s 2025 impact through this DIC lens.
Our Theory of Collective Impact
At Collectivity, we champion the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It starts with Collectivity inputs– dedicated collaboration, equity-driven practices, and client-focused services.
These inputs yield outputs, the tangible services we provide to our clients. In the short term, these service efforts translate into improved client outcomes – positive changes within specific contexts. Short-term wins build momentum, leading to intermediate outcomes that signify progress toward longer-term goals including the SDGs.
Collectivity’s overarching goal is to empower our clients to succeed in their missions holistically, thereby amplifying impact collectively in the communities they serve. It's a ripple effect that starts with our support and resonates far beyond.
Client Spotlight:
Neighborhood Development Center
Throughout 2025, Collectivity continued its partnership with Neighborhood Development Center (NDC) to support the Minnesota PROMISE Act, a statewide initiative focused on addressing systemic inequities and strengthening communities in Minneapolis and Saint Paul.
Through equity-centered program design, technical assistance, and improved technological infrastructure, NDC and its partners worked to make grant funding more accessible while maintaining strong fraud prevention practices. The collaboration highlights the importance of community-based systems, responsive support, and cross-sector partnerships in advancing long-term economic opportunity for underserved entrepreneurs and neighborhoods across the Twin Cities.

Learnings from the 2025 Salon Series
Since 2023, Collectivity has hosted its quarterly Salon Series to bring nonprofit leaders together for reflection, collaboration, and systems-level conversation.
Guided in 2025 by the Protect, Resist, Build, Bridge framework from the Collective Impact Forum, the series explored community care, collaboration under strain, and collective giving as tools for long-term social impact.
Featuring leaders from organizations including the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits, Greater Twin Cities United Way, and the Minneapolis Foundation, the conversations highlighted the importance of trust, shared power, and community-driven leadership.
